IMO, fissure armor doesn't have the level of detail that 15k Factions and NF armor provide (at a much cheaper price). The only Fissure armor I really want is the Ritualist armor. That looks hot!

so i suppose uw farming now is soa and famine?
i used to run it by myself with two accounts open with a tank and a holy wrath smiter
but anyways, i have fow on my monk, my necro, and my old warrior who got bug deleted or something.
also if i get it it wont be black, it would probably be blue or some shade of red. my warrior already has sets of 15k tyrian glads, 15k kurz, 15k canth endgame, primeval, and vabbi
thanks so far for the advice, especially cap (i'll be on this weekend)

Well, FoW used to be extremely high-end armor, before gold selling companies surfaced in-game. Now, it's lost much of it's pizzazz, because any guy can go spend $50 or so, get a million gold, and go buy a set. Look at it this way...
Primeval says you DID something. You finished Nightfall and aren't super-terrible at PvE. FoW says one of two things: you are a farming fanatic that is extremely obsessed with having the best-of-the-best armor (meeeee!), or you are a 10 year old kid who spent $50 of daddy's money. :P
It's all personal preference, FoW is significantly more expensive than other sets, so if you buy 1 set of FoW, you will not have a whole lot of fluid cash for awhile.
My advice? Go buy warrior FoW.

I think you answered your own question -- if you feel getting FoW for your warrior will help complete your GW experience, do it & enjoy. It sounds like you want it to complete a collection, not so much for looks. You just have to balance out for yourself whether spending the time & money to get the armor is worth it - will you enjoy doing it, or will it just be a chore to work through for the final sense of completion? If it's a chore, then you you have to ask yourself whether that completion is worth the hassle of getting there. (Or to quote "The Girl Next Door" - is the juice worth the squeeze? LOL)

I feel like if I ever farm enough materials for FoW armor, I’ll never feel justified to buy another set of armor for my character, since I would already have “the best.”
But since you will not have the temptation of new armors, because you’re really playing WoW, go for it if you want it. Doesn’t seem like a hard decision.
Unless you want to give all your money and materials to your ig friends/guildies, which would be really nice for them. (And which I would do.)

My warrior has FoW with 5 different helms for all the functions.
I love it to death, and Prime Evil does look alright IMO. It reminds me too much of fable. FoW armor for every class (Except dervish and sin IMO) are completely unique to whereever they can get armor in any campaign.

This is a huge misconception I truly don't see how it doesn't have "detail" It has spikes that reflect the light on parts of the armor. It has very detailed wave designs from front to back. If anything it has to be the MOST detailed armor. The ritualist armor I completely admit is the most amazing one of them all, with the dervish in last... it looks like the dervish forgot to take off his pajama's.
To sum it up, if anything in this game makes your warrior look like the shredder from ninja turtles, it's worth getting.

Well... i think im the only one who sees armor in a whole other context.
To me, the armor set isnt just a "cool looking skin" that your character will wear, wich you should have all sets. There is only one armor that your character should have, and that depends on what you want your character to be, and of course, the dye can make you look like something else (but that also depends on the armor)
Here are some examples, for warrior, since we are talking about it.
http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Ascended_Ascalon_Armor: Barbarian
http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Warrior...latemail_Armor: Royal Knight
http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Ascende...ator%27s_Armor: the name says it all, Gladiator
http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Warrior..._Canthan_Armor: Imperial General
http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Warrior..._Kurzick_Armor: Temple Guardian
http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Warrior...xon_Armor/Male: Demon from The Deep (the helm is essencial)
http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Warrior_Primeval_Armor: Awakened Devil
http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Warrior_Obsidian_Armor: Underworld Champion
So basically depends on what you want your character to be.
Dont try to mix armor pieces, they hardly ever match and they will ruin the "theme".
What do you want your character to be?

It's all about the looks for me. If I like it, I get it. If I don't like it, I don't. I've never regretted any armor purchase yet. =)

Of course not, you say that because everyone is tired of seeing FoW armor
Almost everyone has a warrior character, and because of that, when you are going to get a fow armor, you get it for your warrior.
We cant get a real number, but im almost sure 50% of the obsidian armors, are warriors.
The same goes for the primeval armor, soon or later people will get tired of seeing it and might get other armors.

Get runes, insignias, and greens for all your heroes on all your chars. Atleast that makes a difference in gameplay. I have yet to see a mob flee in fear upon sighting a Wammo in FoW.
To each his own.

Like someone else said, go to guildwiki and find the armor you like. I took my ele through factions just to get the luxon 15k, and it was worth it.
FoW armor is not longer the status symbol it used to be, but if you have the means, and want it, have fun with it. Remember, this is fake armor on a fake character purchased with fake money. No matter what, you don't lose anything by buying it.
